Lobelia coronopifolia
Tufted shrublet with stems about 30 cm, hairless, branching from the base, with narrow to lance shaped, deeply toothed leaves about 5-10 mm wide.
Flowers are borne on short, wiry stalks. There is usually only one flower (sometimes a few), and colours vary from pink, white or dark blue. Flowers are large - about 15-30 mm long.
The species grows on sandy stony flats and lower slopes in the southwestern Cape. These were flowering on the path to the lower Tadpole Pools on Riversong.
Flowering time: October to April.
